This Broadway Production showcases a charmer who contrives to serve a short sentence in a mental institution rather than a prison. As he clashes with the fierce head nurse, he quickly takes over the yard and he leads the others out of introversion, stages a revolt, and arranges a rollicking midnight party. Cuckoo’s Nest is credited for instigating needed changes in our mental health system that existed in the 60’s and 70’s.
