Generous Donations!
THANK YOU for understanding what it takes to keep theatre and the arts alive in our area! Every dollar is valuable to us and will help keep the roof over our head, the lights/heat/air on, and advance our productions and events for audience and artists. We're a 501(c)3 nonprofit and an open book when it comes to how we spend our funding.
If you're looking to establish a lasting theatrical legacy or prefer the immediate thrill of supporting live performances, we have a stage for your generosity. Become a part of Our Stage, and make it a part of Your Legacy.
You can donate directly with us, or contact The Community Foundation of St. Clair County to donate cash, stocks, or bonds. Your donation can be permanently restricted (only fund growth can be accessed by ESR), restricted to specific uses (such as buying a building), or unrestricted. PLEASE make sure you talk with us so we can invest your dollars in our company the way you wish to see them used.
Non-Endowed Fund
This fund allows you to support medium term projects such as purchase of big ticket theatrical tools, or our sustainability goals around building equity through owning a space. These funds are invested through The Community Foundation of St. Clair Countyand and grow with the market, but ESR has direct access to spend when the need arises. Our intent is to use this fund to support sustainability projects, purchasing assets that will help cement our position in the community.
Endowed Fund
Alternatively with this fund you're planting seeds that will grow into a forest of artistic excellence, securing the future of live theatre in Port Huron. The principle of these funds stay permanently invested with CFSCC and grow as a market investment. ESR is granted a portion of the interest that the funds create each year for operations.
General Operations
It costs us around $85,000 per year to operate our space and programs, and unfortunately this cost is always going up. We are constantly looking for ways to keep our overhead low, spend money in ways that promotes our sustainability, and provide the best quality programs to our artists and audiences. The path to financial sustainability is a long one for non-profits, but we are happily traveling that road. Your donations to this fund will help speed us along until we reach critical mass for financial sustainability.
Whichever path you choose, your contribution is pivotal in sustaining the heartbeat of our theater. Join us in crafting an enduring legacy or fuel the immediate excitement— share our stage, your legacy, awaits.
If you have questions about these funds, please reach out to us! We can share our goals for sustainability, our short, mid, and long term business plans, and the direct impact we feel our art has on the Blue Water Area. Thank you for thinking of us, and we look forward to seeing you at the theatre!
